The Skiathos Hoteliers Union announced its promotional plan that is due to kick off in collaboration with the Municipality of Skiathos and consultants of the MTC Group of the business and tourism field. The scheme aims to reach out to the markets of the Austria, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia and the UK with promo trips for travel operators and journalists, excursions, international trade fair participation, a fashion photo shoot and celebrity calls for more promotional projects.

The Greek market won’t be neglected either with the introduction of package deals for Easter and other local feasts. Locals will also be invited to take part in radio contests and online media offers for free accomodation, press trips and other activities.

The goal of the SHU is to increase the island’s visibility in already established markets in order to extend the tourist season and open up new frontiers.
