A city of ice has been constructed in Heilongjiang province, north-eastern China for the 32nd Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival.
Ice castles, towers and structures illuminated with colored lights will be the main subject of the annual festival.
The displays cover a space of 750,000 square metres and include hundreds of buildings created by carvers who started working on their sculptures in late November.
The event features the world’s largest snow sculptures and has become very popular attracting about a million visitors every year, while the festival will run from January 5 to February 5, 2016.
