Children wash up dead on Turkish beaches (graphic content)

At least 37 migrants, mostly women and small children, drowned

Newsroom January 31 03:14

At least 37 migrants, mostly women and children, drowned yesterday attempting to cross the sea from Turkey to reach Greece.

Turkish authorities announced that at least 37 refugees were dead, while they managed to rescue 75 people.

In horrific scenes that we all hoped we would never see again, a police officer lifts the body of a child from a beach and gently places it into an open body bag.

A photographer of the French Agency saw about twenty bodies of migrants, including children, on the coast near the city Aivatzik. Among them, there was a boy with his face covered by a blue wooly hat and his dummy next to him.
