A large explosion in the Turkish capital, Ankara, has left at least 28 people dead and 61 injured on Wednesday night, according to Turkish officials.
A vehicle full of explosives was detonated as military buses were passing by, according to the Ankara governor’s office.
The blast occurred near Chief of Staff’s Building, the base for the heads of Turkey’s Army, Air Force and Navy and close to the seat of parliament.
A spokesman of the Turkish government stated that 28 were killed and 61 injured.
Turkish media reports say a Syrian national was behind the attack in Ankara.
