Greek farmers in Thessaloniki drove their tractors to the city center heading to the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace to express their opposition to government’s planned socially security and tax system reforms.

They even tried to take the gate of the ministry down using chains which were tied up to their tractors causing great tension.

The protesting farmers gathered from more than 22 roadblocks of Central Macedonia in Thessaloniki stated that “no one knows when we will leave. All options are open”.

After the meeting with the prime minister on Thursday, the head of the coordination committee of eight roadblocks in Western Macedonia, Dimitris Moschos, said: “Nothing has changed, he reiterated what he had said to our colleagues in the meeting they had on Monday”.
