Sacrifices in a crisis

"The sovereignty of Greece should stand rock solid. If hot spots are to be made they should be made within the regions of the Middle East and not on shores bordering Nations"

Newsroom March 5 05:24

By Debbie Papadakis

As we all know that Greece is experiencing not only an economic crisis common in ‘an economic war of opinions’ of economic policy and labour management based on industry…but we are also experiencing a refugee and immigration crisis common in war and conflicts.

The question is how to resolve this problem rather than allowing it to become complicated. The sovereignty of Greece should stand rock solid. If hot spots are to be made they should be made within the regions of the Middle East and not on shores bordering Nations.

At these hot spots and camps people should be registered and profiles be made to register families and individuals in Groups or unescorted. This is why profiles are important. Food and shelter should be provided; it is the humane thing to do… Medical and educational facilities should be provided to help the children.

A PROGRAMME of Work and maintenance should be devised to help everyday activities and the harmonious existence living in temporary facilities. How people work together is an excellent way of distinguishing their needs as well as being able to see their character. Weekly interviews should be held of each family group and individuals to find out where they want to go and where existing families live in other countries, so that they can be reunited. If that does not exist then vocational guidance should be provided as well as training in preparation for some form of COMMUNITY WORK.

The Children taking part in Educational Programmes should also be monitored and allowed to present their progress through presentations, the arts and exhibitions. PEACE should be encouraged in their countries and if they want to stay they should be following Vocational Training and Further Education. Everything should be highly organized in order not to cause chaos.

My question is: Who is going to finance this? Who will be highly organized to lead such things to happen? In Crunch-time, which Greece is experiencing, the only thing operating systematically is the banks considering they have been ‘bailed out’. What will happen with common Greeks losing their houses and needing shelter, would they have to lodge with refugees and immigrants too? Considering the homeless are victims of a different war would the same measures be given to them? Where would they go? A lot of issues are up in the air here! Problems can be solved neatly and humanely….never at one Nation’s expense.
