While Europe is on high alert after the deadly attacks in France and Brussels, authorities arrested 30 people suspected of links to Islamic State in Cyprus, according to Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano.
As the Italian journalist Francesco De Palo claims, 30 suspects were arrested at Larnaca airport, Cyprus, when they were trying to get on board a plane and travel to European countries.
Local authorities are in contact with their European colleagues and embassies so as to share information on the suspects.
The article mentions that about 120 soldiers have been deployed at two airports of Cyprus strengthening the security measures.
