The refugees stuck in Idomeni camp are divided into groups with the one group claiming they are determined to enter FYROM and the other group trying to convince refugees that the borders are closed and they will not open.

Among those who want to cross the border are people in wheelchairs, while almost everyone was holding white towels and handkerchiefs showing their peaceful intentions, as they stressed.

“Do not hit us”, “Free movement is everyone’s right”, “No violence, all we want is to cross the border”, “Open the borders” are the messages of refugees who earlier were singing traditional songs.

“We heard that today the border will open and we will be able to cross the border. We were told that the Red Cross and 500 journalists from around the world will accompany us,” a young Syrian told ANA-MPA, who arrived in Idomeni from Giannitsa. However, there were many refugees who were not convinced to participate.

“We saw what happened last time. I will not risk the safety of my family, “said a young Syrian woman.
