Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the implementation of EU-Turkey agreement on readmission of immigrants arriving in the Greek islands will start on April 4.
Addressing Brookings Institute in Washington, U.S.A., he explained that immigrants who arrive in Greece from Turkey will be sent back to Turkey according to the agreement signed between EU and Turkey,
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu confirmed, too, the implementation of the agreement will come into effect on April 4, while a European source told AFP that implementation of the agreement will start with a group of 500 immigrants, including Syrians not seeking asylum and immigrants from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
