New airspace violations by Turkey in Aegean

They committed 21 violations after first carrying out seven separate infringements of Athens FIR

Multiple violations of Greece airspace by Turkish military aircrafts were recorded on Monday above the Aegean Sea.

Eleven Turkish aircrafts entered without submitting flight plans and committed 21 violations after first carrying out seven separate infringements of Athens FIR.

Sixteen of the Greek airspace violations were committed by a Turkish CN-235 naval cooperation aircraft that flew north to south from the island of Limnos to the island of Rhodes. Four violations were committed by six Turkish fighter aircrafts and one violation was committed by a Turkish helicopter flying south of the Aegean island of Samos.

Two of the Turkish planes were armed.

In all incidents, the Turkish aircrafts were identified and intercepted by Hellenic Air Force fighter jets.
