Trump vows to destroy Islamic State, if elected US President

The republican candidate to adopt isolationist foreign policy

Newsroom April 28 08:49

Republican Presidential candidate frontrunner Donald Trump said ISIS would be wiped out, if he was elected President. Donald Trump said he would revise the US foreign policy making it less interventionist, while he promised to renew ties with Russia pointing out that ‘a de-escalation of tensions with Russia’ from a position of power was viable. Trump said his government’s foreign policy would put the interests of the US above anything else, stressing that the safety of the public was top priority. He added that the United State’s allies should either compensate the US for the defence it provides them, or they should have to fend for themselves, referring to NATO allies. The republican candidate blasted US President Barack Obama for deserting the country’s allies, like Israel, adding that the US had lost all credibility abroad under his administration. He stressed this credibility must be restored. Trump added he would use the US economic might to sway China to pressure North Korea to halt its nuclear program. ‘Their days are numbered’, he said referring to the Islamic State (IS). ‘The Islamic State will disappear, if I am elected President and it will disappear soon. Very soon’, Trump said. The billionaire candidate has a clear isolationist foreign policy.
