The Greek meteorological services warned of a sudden deterioration of weather conditions in the next hours, in an emergency report released. The weather will worsen with heavy rain falls and possible hailstorms from the northwest of the country accompanied by strong winds. Local rains are forecast for Easter Monday pushing from the west to the rest of mainland Greece, while strong gusts are expected  in the Aegean. According to the report the following areas will be affected the most from midday Easter Monday:

Macedonia and Thrace (mainly after noon), the Ionian Sea, Epirus, the north and east Aegean islands mainly until midday. According to the Meteorological services the unstable weather patters will remain until Thursday.
