At least three people have been injured in an explosion at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport, according to official reports.
The blast occurred in passenger Terminal 2 at 2.42pm, state broadcaster CCTV reported. Pictures circulating online showed several injured people being taken away. Police had the scene under control, People’s Daily reported. The cause of the blast was not known.
Shanghai Airport Authority said on its official microblog that three people were injured but flights were not affected.
