The ruling party has clarified that it believes the protest is motivated by the leadership of New Democracy and particularly by the side expressed by Adonis Georgiadis, and influenced by extreme right, while it also believes that PASOK is involved, especially by those who declare their faith to Evangelos Venizelos, the inspiration and organization of the movement.

Ministry of Education Nikos Filis lashed out at the organizers of ‘Resign’ movement, while part of SYRIZA believes that there is a plan to undermine the government aiming to prevent the country from returning to economic growth.

In an interview with Efymerida ton Syntakton, Mr. Filis said that ‘Resign’ movement is New Democracy’s plan B adding that Kyriakos Mitsotakis “embraces the extreme right”.
