The STD test submitted as evidence in the wrongful death suit filed against Jim Carrey by Brigid Sweetman, the mother of his late ex Cathriona White, shows positive results for multiple diseases.
The Quest Diagnostics test belonging to ‘Jose Lopez’ and filed under seal has been seen by DailyMail.com and shows that ‘Lopez’ tested positive for Herpes I and II, Chalmidya and Hepatitis after being tested on January 28, 2013, with the results being reported three days later according to the test.
The date of birth for Lopez is listed as January 17, 1962, which is also Carrey’s date of birth.
Sweetman’s lawyer, Michael Avenatti, submitted a declaration in the case on Thursday as well, stating: ‘After Carrey received the test results, he purposely hid the results from Ms. White, whom he was intimately involved with, and failed to inform her that he had tested positive for Hepatitis A, HSV (Herpes) I and II, and Chlamydia.
‘To make matters worse, Carrey then proceeded to have unprotected sex with Ms. White with full knowledge that he was STD positive, including on February 12, 2013 (two days before Valentine’s day and within weeks after learning the test results).
‘Even after doing so, he failed to inform Ms. White that he had likely just infected her with STDs and possibly hepatitis A. This was not only callous, it was criminal.’
Carrey’s lawyer Martin Singer said in a statement on Thursday in response to Avenatti’s declaration and the submission of the STD test as evidence: ‘This is just another desperate attempt by the attorney after Cathriona White’s own family distanced themselves from this sham lawsuit yesterday.
‘These distortions and false statements by the attorney do a disservice to Cathriona’s memory and to the truth. Cat White’s biological mother, Brigid Sweetman acknowledged in writing that she received death threats because people believed she was responsible for Cat’s death.
