Pappas on TV licenses: NCRTV should have total control of TV licenses

No mention of ‘interim-law’ on TV licenses being submitted in parliament

Newsroom October 29 02:41

Greek Minister of State Nikos Pappas, who authored the TV license law revoked by the Council of State, released a statement calling for the political parties to tone down the disagreements and move toward achieving wider consent on the matter of the new National Council of Radio and Television (NCRTV). Pappas added that it went without saying that the NCRTV should have complete control and responsibility over the organisation of the TV license tender and the subsequent issuing of the TV permits. The Minister did not include any references to a possible submission of an ‘interim-law’ on the TV licenses on Monday.
