Rock Stars “vote”: Trump or Clinton?

Which stars back Trump, which Clinton

Newsroom November 7 06:43

On the eve of the U.S., polls indicate that the two presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, are neck-and-neck. How much each of their respective star systems can help them achieve victory remains to be seen in the next 24 hours.

Among those celebrities endorsing Trump are:

Former basketball player Dennis Rodman, who tweeted: “@realDonaldTrump has been a great friend for many years. We don’t need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr Trump! Trump 2016.”

Rocker Kid Rock, who told Rolling Stone magazine he is “digging Donald Trump,” saying that America should let the businessman run the country like a business.

Wrestler Hulk Hogan, who tweeted: “I don’t want to be in the ring with any candidates, I want to be Trump’s running mate.”

Singer Azealia Banks, who tweeted: “I REALLY want Donald Trump to win the election.”

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, who stated: “He should be president of the United States, Let’s try something new. Let’s run America like a business, where no colours matter.”

Cheers star John Ratzenburger, who played Cliff Calvin in the hit U.S. Sitcom, backed Trump, saying: “The only candidate out there is Donald Trump, for me, because he’s a builder.”

Movie Star Clint Eastwood, who backed Trump, saying that is tired of the ‘p***y generation’ of political correctness. “[Trump is] onto something, because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up,” the Dirty Harry star said.

Actor Charle Sheen, who tweeted that he’d be Trump’s “VP (Vice President) in a heartbeat”.

Oscar-winning movie star Jon Voight and father of movie star Angelina Jolie, who endorsed the billionaire, saying: “He’s an answer to our problems. We need to get behind him.”

Actor and Big Brother star Gary Busey, who said: “I know him personally. I know him professionally. He’s a great guy. He’s sharp. He’s fast. He can change the country after the last eight years.”

Incredible Hulk actor, Lou Ferrigno, who said: “I wish Donald the best. He’s a fabulous guy. I hope he goes all the way.”

American football star Tom Brady has called Trump a friend and told reporters it “would be great” if he won.

Actress Kirstie Alley, who tweeted her praise of Trump during his appearance on the U.S. show “60 Minutes,” saying: “Watching @realDonaldTrump on 60 minutes holding his own with Scott Pelley. Pelley acting like an antagonist asshat. I like Trump…fire at will.”

Hillary Clinton’s supporters include:

Actor George Clooney and his wife, attorney Amal Clooney, who hosted a fundraiser at their home in Los Angeles for Hillary Clinton on April 16 and participated in another fundraiser for her in San Francisco the day before.

Pop star Katy Perry, who stripped down in a video to encourage young people to register to vote. Perry even took to the stage at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) to perform her hit single, “Rise,” telling the crowd “that’s right – I love Hillary” before giving an inspired rendition of her hit “Roar,” which has become an unofficial theme song for the campaign.

Pop star Madonna, who, like Katy Perry, posed nude to show her support for Clinton. The Material Girl captioned the picture: ”I’m voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She’s the best we got! Nude Voting series # 1 (sic)”!” She also went on record as saying to a crowd of women at a recent Madison Square Garden concert: “If you vote for Hillary Clinton, I will give you a blow job….I’m really good.”

Drew Barrymore, who said of the Democratic candidate: “Hillary Clinton is going to be the ultimate girl boss as our next president.”

Robert DeNiro, who went on record as saying of Clinton: “She has earned the right to be president and the head of the country at this point. It’s that simple. And she’s a woman, which is very important because her take on things may be what we need right now.”

The queen of America’s reality TV and socialite Kim Kardashian, who got a selfie with Clinton at a Democratic fundraiser, saying: “I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country!”

Actress Sigourney Weaver, who endorsed Clinton in a speech during the Democratic National Convention in July, saying: “Hillary Clinton gets it. She cares. She’s committed. She understands that taking a stand against climate change is not about politics. It’s about our moral obligation to one another, to our children, and to the generations that will one day inherit this earth.”

Actress Meryl Streep, who also endorsed Clinton at the Democratic National Convention, asking the crowd:“What does it take to be the first female anything? It takes grit, and it takes grace,” she added, listing a number of women who have been pioneers in their fields. “These women share something in common: capacity of mind, fullness of heart and a burning passion for their cause. They have forged new paths so that others can follow them, men and women, generation on generation. That’s Hillary.”

Lady Gaga, who shared a photo of herself in an American flag swimsuit on Instagram with the caption, “#HILLARY2016 Nothing can keep a strong woman down. VOTE for the first female US president in history. Shake it up America, this country needs a little rock n’ roll.”

Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who hosted a fundraiser for Clinton. Billed as A Conversation With Hillary, tickets for the event were priced at $33,400 (£25,260) each.

Talk show hostess and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who said: “You know what a supporter I am,” and told Clinton when she was a guest on her show, that: “I think that you’re as smart as can be, I think you are qualified, I think you stand for everything that I want in a president.”

American director and producer Steven Spielberg, who reportedly donated $1 million to help Clinton get elected.

Singer Barbra Streisand, who said: “We need a woman president, we need compassion [and] we need to have a person who comes from the heart,” said the Clinton-supporting actress.

Miley Cyrus, who was originally “feeling the Bern,” but who became a vocal Clinton supporter after Bernie Sanders lost the Democratic primary. In October, she allegedly campaigned in dorms at George Mason University in Virginia for Clinton.
