European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker said more clarity was needed by US President elect Donald Trump on a number of issues. Commenting on the victory by Donald Trump, during an entrepreneurial event in Germany, and the impact his tenure would have on relations with the EU, Juncker stressed that Trump would have to clarify his positions on matters such as trade, NATO relations and climate change. “We would like to know his intentions in relation to the NATO alliance. We have to know what policies on climate change he wants to pursue. This has to be clarified within the next months”, he said. Juncker added that he did not believe a trade agreement would be reached between the US and the EU in the next two years.
