Barack Obama is expected to meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos at the Presidential Palace. The US motorcade has departed from the Asrteras resort hotel in Vouliagmeni and is expcted to shortly arrive.
The US President Barack Obama has landed at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” at 10.30 am on Tuesday, November 15. The Greek Minister of Defence, Panos Kammenos greeted Barack Obama at the airport. Barack Obama is scheduld to meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos at 1.30pm at the Presidential Palace, before meeting with Greek PM Alexis Tsipras an hour later at 2.20pm at the Maximos Mansion. The Greek PM and the US President will hold a press conference immediately after their meeting. An official dinner is programmed to take place at 7.30pm. Barack Obama’s visit will end on Wednesday, November 16 when the US head of state will deliver a speech at the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre at 1pm. The motorcade has departed from the airport towards the Asteras resort at Vouliagmenis, where the US entourage will be staying.
