The US President Donald Trump is considering offering the job of White House national security adviser to Vice Admiral Robert Harward.
Robert Harward, a former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command who has Navy SEAL combat experience now works as an executive for defense contractor Lockheed Martin, with responsibility for its business in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East.
It is not clear yet if he has accepted the offer.
To many he is just ideal for the job, as he gathers some unique elements in his resume. Harward, a Rhode Island native, went to school in Tehran before the Shah was toppled in 1979 and has already done a tour on the National Security Council under former Republican President George W. Bush as a counterterrorism specialist.
