Despite the huge production costs and a plethora of set backs over the course of the many years, Lockheed Martin’s 5th generation F-35A stealth fighter jets are expected to be incorporated into the US Air-force, as well as other NATO member’s fleets. It is touted as the best fighter aircraft to date and is planned to be the main manned fighter plane of the North Atlantic Treaty coalition until 2050. The jet is fitted with the advanced AESA radar system and the Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS). But many wonder how this, or its F-22 stealth predecessor fare against the best anti-aircraft missile system, the Russian S-400? The S-400 Triumph, known in the west as the SA-21 Growler, has a target range that ranges from 40km to 400km, while it also employs an AESA radar.
