The President of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiades, counter-argued that the Turkish-Cypriot side is celebrating every year the Turkish invasion of 1974, adding that Akinci’s reaction is staged in order to be used as an alibi to withdraw from the negotiations and blame the Greek-Cypriots for this.
