Archaeological sites and museums will be closed the upcoming weekend after the Panhellenic Federation of Workers of the Ministry of Culture declared a 48-hour strike for Saturday and Sunday. The employees demand an immediate meeting with the Minister to solve a series of issues including funding matters, the hiring of 22 archaeologists and 200 antiquities guards.
