Unbelievable: Canadian charged with attempted murder after grabbing home invader’s gun & shooting him!

There is something not right in Canada...

Newsroom August 3 11:00

A man in Halifax, Nova Scotia, faces a string of charges, including attempted murder, after he helped fend off armed home invaders.

The Chronicle Herald reports that Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested on July 12 after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Halifax Regional Police responded to a call about a home invasion involving firearms.

According to police, three men entered the residence and a struggle ensued between them and two men inside.

The two men inside managed to seize a gun from one of the suspects during a struggle, leading to several shots being fired. The suspects fled after one of them received non-life-threatening injuries from a bullet.

Of course, as this is Canada we’re talking about, Munroe faces charges despite defending himself and his friend while in the home.

He faces charges of attempted murder, intent to discharge a firearm, intent to discharge a firearm when being reckless, careless use of a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing that possession is unauthorized, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Chris Hansen, a spokeswoman for the Public Prosecution Service, said: “Right now they’re just pending charges.”

As reported by the Chronicle Herald, Munroe is “is banned from any contact with two named individuals, must attend court as ordered, keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not leave his residence except for essential activities such as work or medical appointments, remain in Nova Scotia, not consume drugs or alcohol, not possess a cell phone or pager, have no weapons, and answer the door to police when they check at his home.”

He is due in court on Aug. 22 for election and plea.
