Qatar Airways announced it would launch direct flights to Mykonos, with the first flight starting on May 30, 2018. The beautiful island of Mykonos will be the third Greek destination that the company adds to its fast-growing global network after the addition of Thessaloniki, which is scheduled to commence in March 2018.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Mykonos has always been one of the most popular European destinations and we are very proud to be the first Gulf airline to start direct flights to the island. The central location of Mykonos in the Cyclades makes it an extremely attractive holiday option. We look forward to offering travelers the convenience of a direct flight to this fascinating island in the summer.”
The company will operate four flights per week for Mykonos Airport, which will be operated by an Airbus A320, with 12 seats in the Distinguished seats and 132 seats in Economy.
Qatar Airways has also recently announced the launch of direct flights to Thessaloniki, its second destination in the country. The four new flights a week between Doha and Thessaloniki will be operated by Airbus A320, with 12 seats in first class and 132 seats in the Economy Class.
