There were high level Greek-German meetings last weekend in Sounio. Dozens of executives from big German and Greek companies, as well as German politicians spent a special three day period in the shadow of the temple of Poseidon. They went for a ride with inflatable boats and enjoyed the Aegean sea, and they also watched World Cup. The weather did not affect them at all, because the summer clouds and short storms are often in Germany.

The German “team” included Manfred Bischoff, president of Daimler-Benz, Tom Enders, CEO of Airbus, Clemens Semtner, Foreign Minister for European Affairs, K.-H Kuhna, former German Ambassador to Greece, Christoph Hoppe, CEO of Thales, Bernhard Gerwert, representative of the German state in boards of German companies, Stephan Weingartner Partner of Carlyle Group, Prof. Dr. Lauk T., former German MEP, chairman of the CDU economic council in the German parliament, representatives of the chancellery, representatives of the German parliament from both the SPD and the CDU/CSU, German bank executives and German journalists, all of whom are regular guests of George Paterakis in Greece (In the photo above with Manfred Bischoff).

A special event held on Saturday night at Cape Sounio provided the opportunity for important contacts of social, economic and political content with executives of Greek companies, banks and Greek politicians (MPs, ministers) of the entire political and business spectrum. Among them were Andreas Siamisis (ELPE) Christos Megalou (Board of Directors of Piraeus Bank), George Chatzinikolaou (President of Piraeus Bank), Thodoros Fessas (President of Hellenic Federation of Enterprises.), Nikos Daskalantonakis (GRECOTEL) ), Spyros Manolopoulos (SPACE HELLAS), the distinguished legal advisor of companies for tax issues George Mylonogiannis, Giannis Kalligeros (MERCEDES HELLAS), Dimitrios Tsangaris (Financial advisor), Angelos Benopoulos (GEK TERNA). The atmosphere was warm, so we expect the results.
