Paris knife attack: Three dead and one injured after suspect heard shouting “Allahu Akbar” (Upd.)

The attacker was shot by police in Trappes after making threats against officers, according to reports

UPDATE: The knifeman armed with several blades killed his mum and sister and seriously injured another person in Paris in an attack claimed by ISIS.

The attacker, who was known to intelligence services, was shot dead in the suburb of Trappes after charging at police.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bloodbath, describing the killer as an “Islamic state fighter”, but has offered no further evidence.


 

One person has been killed and two seriously injured in a knife attack in a Paris suburb.

The attacker was shot by police in Trappes after making threats against officers, according to reports.

Police sources told Le Parisien that the man, in his 30s, was inside a pavilion shouting: “Allahu akbar, if you enter I smoke you all.”

French TV network BFMTV reports that police opened fire on the man, who is being treated by medics.
