A deadline until the end of the year was given to the American giant social media giant Facebook by the European Justice Commissioner.
The company must comply with EU consumer regulations, otherwise, it would face sanctions.
Commissioner Viera Yurova also said today that Airbnb made the necessary changes after being asked to do so three months ago, confirming a previous Reuters report.
“My patience has reached its limits”, she stated adding that Facebook had assured her that it will eventually make adjustments to the remaining misleading terms of service until December.
“It’s time for action and no more promises. If the changes are not fully implemented by the end of the year, I will urge competent consumer authorities to act immediately and impose sanctions on the company”, she said.
Yurova had asked the company and other social media platforms to comply in February.
