A group of about 50 allegedly students trapped about 30 academics in a room in the University of Athens.
They demand, among other things, was the withdrawal of the Higher Education bill but also to prevent the Senate from taking a decision against the presence of Rubikon in the premises of the Philosophical building.
It is doubtful whether the majority of them were students at all, as their pro-Rubikon stance indicates that they may simply be extreme-leftists and anarchists.
Rubikon is an anarchist group that through activism that balances at the edge of the law are trying to promote their ideas. Their actions include activities like throwing paint or leaflets to the embassies of Spain and Iran, the house of the US ambassador, ministries etc.
After a while, they left the Senate building and the incident ended there.
