A powerful explosion has occurred in the centre of the Afghan capital of Kabul, local media reported Wednesday.

The blast took place in the Shahr-e-Naw area of the city, according to the broadcaster TOLOnews Gunfire is ongoing near the Attorney General’s Office in the same district, the media outlet added, citing eyewitnesses.

There is no information about any casualties so far.
