Tourists denied entry to Acropolis because they wore ancient Greek attire!

The site guards said the female German tourists needed a special permit

Newsroom May 11 08:36

Fourteen German tourists were denied entry to the Acropolis archaeological site on Saturday after site guards deemed they were dressed inappropriately.

As Skai.gr reports, the guards justified their decision to ban the 14 female tourists, who were wearing ancient Greek attire, claiming they needed a special permit as their escorting photographer was a professional.

As the reports claim the decision caused the frustration of many Greek and foreign tourists present during the incident.
