Boris Johnson has been elected as the new leader of the British Conservative Party which means he will be the new Prime Minister of the UK.
He will officially succeed outgoing PM Theresa May on Wednesday.
Johnson won with 66,4 %, a total of 92.153 votes. Hunt received 33,6% or 46.656 of the votes, while the turnout was 87,4%.
The voting process lasted two weeks and around 160.000 members of the Tory party were called to choose their next leader and PM of the country.
Boris Johnson, former mayor of London and former British foreign secretary, was the clear favorite from the moment Theresa May announced she would be stepping down, following her failure to secure a Brexit deal with the EU.
