STEM STARS GREECE competition and awards ceremony held by the U.S Embassy

It will take place on Sunday, March 28th as part of the Athens Science Festival

The U.S. Embassy in Athens and the Greek nonprofit organization SciCo are proud to announce the digital STEM STARS GREECE final competition and awards ceremony which will take place on Sunday, March 28th as part of the Athens Science Festival. The two student teams that will launch Greece’s participation in the International Science and Engineering Fair will be named during this event.

Twenty seven teams from all over Greece (including Attica, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Trikala, and Kalamata Aigio and representing both public and private schools) qualified to participate in the STEM STARS GREECE final competition, which will be held digitally on Saturday, March 27. Their projects cover a variety of STEM areas, ranging from biology and astrophysics to robotics, app development, and environmental engineering.

Despite facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these students worked together to develop STEM projects that not only demonstrated innovation and creativity but also remarkable perseverance.
