The awards were presented by the Principal of the GCM’s Greek Language and Culture School, Mrs. Maria Bakalidou

Newsroom December 23 09:46

The highest achievers VCE students of 2021 were awarded by the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM), on Wednesday, December 22, in a joyful and delightful atmosphere at the Mezzanine of the Greek Center.

The event, organized by the Board of the GCM, aimed to bring together all the students and parents of the wider Greek community, in a celebration where not only their academic achievements would be recognized, but also the vigor, grace and optimism that they’ve shown the last two years of school, which were full of unique challenges and uncertainty.

At the ceremony were awarded all the VCE students of the GCM’s Greek Language and Culture School, who had a score above 40 and sat the lesson of Modern Greek. The number of students was extremely high this year.

An award also received the VCE student Dimitris Papadopoulos, who sat the lesson of Modern Greek through the Greek program that is taught at the public school of Strathmore Secondary College, and who received a grade of 40.
