Protesters gathered outside the Serbian Consulate General in Thessaloniki in support of world no.1 tennis player Novak Djokovic who has been detained in Melbourne awaiting the outcome of his appeal against the Australian government who has ordered the revocation of his entry visa.

The protesters, who are reportedly against mandatory vaccinations and the Covid-19 vaccines, shouted slogans in favour of Novak Djokovic and Serbia.

The participants in the protest, who had initially gathered at the city’s landmark, the White Tower, praised the Serbian tennis player’s stance against mandatory vaccinations.

Units of the Greek anti-riot police were present in front of the Serbian consulate to prevent any possible scuffles or unlawful actions.
