Tsitsipas goes viral for rescuing a ball girl from huge bug (video)

Stefanos to the rescue!

Newsroom January 25 11:15

Stefanos Tsitsipas was victorious against Taylor Fritz with 3-2 sets yesterday and qualified for the “8” of the Australian Open.

However, the Greek tennis player managed to go viral for another reason.

The top Greek tennis player gathered all eyes on him not because of his great game against the American tennis player, but for his…”rescue operation” of a ball girl who “froze” in front of a large insect, at the beginning of the fifth set.

In fact, Tsitsipas not only chose to “save” the frightened girl from the insect, leaving his game for a while, but he also took care not to kill it. He placed it on his racket and removing it from there scene, with the official page of the ATP Tour on Twitter praising him.
