Coronavirus Greece – 19,504 new cases, 93 deaths, 484 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,180 patients have been discharged from the ICU

Greek authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 19,504, of which 45 were detected after checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases is 2,255,421 (daily change + 0.9%), of which 49.7% men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 363 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,187 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 93, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 25,095 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 484 (63.0% men). Their median age is 66 years. 86.0% has an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 359 (74.17%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 125 (25.83%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,180 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
