Lipsi is ranked in the top ten alternative destinations in the world, according to Girovagate.com, one of the largest travel blogs in Italy.

The list is the first to be announced this year with proposals for all seasons with the aim of making Italians return to travelling after two years of strict restrictions. “Lipsi means authentic Greece”, says the author of the tribute and vice-president of the National Union of Italian bloggers, Alessandro Bertini, who had previously been hosted by the municipality, who adds that on the island of Calypso, the beaches, local cuisine, activities and sea excursions leave the visitor speechless”. In addition, the list includes Lapland, historic Seville, romantic Parma, South Holland, Alps, the adventurous Wild West, the fairytale Tuscany, the castles of Transylvania, and Ancona.

“Lipsi maintained its strength last summer, exceeding 90% of the arrivals of 2019 at the peak period, not only with Greeks but also with travellers from abroad. Especially the Italians have always placed us at the top of their preferences, thanks to our targeted strategy”, says the mayor of Lipsi, Fotis Maggos.
