Coronavirus Greece – 15,823 new cases, 52 deaths and 357 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,472 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours are 15,823, of which 2 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases is 3,067,354 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 49.1% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 158 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,760 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 52, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,623 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 357 (65.5% men). Their median age is 69 years. 91.9% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 213 (59.66%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 144 (40.34%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,472 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
