"NATO Tiger Meet 2022", which started on Monday 9 May, was held for the first time in Greece

Newsroom May 20 08:00

More than 60 aircraft and helicopters from Greece (F-16, M2000-5 Mk2, F-4E, C-130H, AB-205A and EMB-145H), Belgium (F-16 MLU), France (RAFALE, E-2C), Switzerland (F/A-18 Hornet), Spain (EF-18 Hornet), Italy (EF-2000 Eurofighter) and the Czech Republic (Mi-24) participated in the NATO multinational exercise “Tiger Meet 2022”, which was completed today.

The exercise was conducted throughout the FIR Athens, day and night, in order to provide high quality operational training in the spirit of “train as you fight”, with the pilots completing more than six hundred take offs from Araxos Air Base.

During the exercise, complex air missions were carried out, covering a wide range of scenarios of modern air warfare (defense/offensive operations, air isolation, dynamic targeting, operations of suppression – destruction of enemy air defenses, targeting of time-sensitive air targets, air force missions for the benefit of land – sea operations).
