Coronavirus Greece – 4,048 new cases, 53% intubated patients are fully vaccinated

The new cases of coronavirus in Greece reached 4,048, according to the new announcement of EODY for the course of the pandemic.

The number of possible new re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 405 while from the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 133,752 (3.7% of the total number of positive results).

There are 13 new deaths of patients with COVID-19, while a total of 29,756 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic. 95.6 % had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 141 (64.5% men). Their median age is 72 years. 92.2 % have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 66 (46.81%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 75 (53.19%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,674 ICU patients have been discharged.
