Coronavirus Greece:12,537 new cases, 14 deaths and 96 intubated

Among intubated patients, 46 (47.92%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 50 (52.08%) are fully vaccinated

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Greece announced by EODY showed a significant increase on Tuesday, as they reached 12,537 in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,562,524 (daily change + 0.3%), of which 48.7% are men.

The number of possible new infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 1,921 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 151,118 (4.1% of the total number of positive results).

There are 14 new deaths of patients with COVID-19, while a total of 30,115 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic. 95.7% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 96 (54.2% men). Their median age is 70 years. 92.7% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 46 (47.92%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 50 (52.08%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,713 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
