Average prices for online hotel bookings covering July have remained steady, compared to the previous month, with just minor price changes for leading international destinations, according to related data collected through the Trivago search engine by Travel.gr.
Despite the month-to-month price stability, average hotel prices have risen sharply compared to levels from July last year. The online price for one night at an Athens hotel (double room) averages 143 euros for this July, up from an average price of 108 euros in July, 2021.
Elsewhere in Europe, Amsterdam hotel prices this month average 238 euros per night, up from 134 euros in July last year; the Barcelona average this July is 234 euros from 141 euros a year earlier; Berlin’s average is 163 euros, up from 101 euros; Brussels is at 155 euros from 121 euros; a Dublin hotel room averages 283 euros per night from 150 euros last July; Lisbon is at 193 euros from 117 euros; London’s hotel price average in July is 287 euros, up from 156 euros in July, 2021; Madrid averages 54 euros from 106 euros; Paris is at 246 euros from 151 euros; Rome averages 172 euros, up from 112 a year earlier; Vienna’s hotel-room average is 154 euros from 120 euros; and the average price for a night at a Zurich hotel this month is 257 euros, up from 192 euros a year earlier.
