International media have been reporting since yesterday on an assassination attempt on the deputy president of Russia.
Specifically, an anti-establishment Russian Telegram channel named General SVR released the information that 71-year-old Nikolai Patrushev, former head of the FSB secret service and secretary of the Kremlin’s Security Council, was rushed to the hospital after feeling unwell.
Toxicology tests reportedly showed the man had been exposed to a synthetic poison.
He is one of Vladimir Putin’s closest associates.
He is the man who replaces him when it is deemed necessary, while he has also actively participated in the war in Ukraine.
His son Dimitri, is also in the government as Minister of Agriculture.

The network that revealed the information is the same one that claimed a few days ago that Putin is preparing to welcome a baby girl, with his lover and gymnast Alina Kabaeva.
The Russian president was informed of the alleged attack only when his colleague’s life was no longer in danger.
The channel pointed to infighting within Putin’s circle, adding: “This is just the beginning of a major redistribution among the elites”, it said.
He adds, in fact, that “in time, we will publish detailed material on the subject of this assassination attempt, with quite interesting details”.
