A PLANE was forced to do a ‘terrifying’ landing in Glasgow Airport after descending 20,000 feet in a few minutes.
The British Airways flight BA1472 left London Heathrow at 7.30am on Monday morning.
The aircraft crew then issued a Squawk 7700 alert after a passenger took ill which told air traffic control that they needed to land immediately.
The plane subsequently descended from 31,000 ft to 11,000 ft in a matter of minutes.
A Twitter user who shared the graph from FlightRadar24 commented on the rapid descent.
They wrote: “That has to be terrifying for the passengers.”
