Hysteric Turkish President Erdogan: “Greeks, don’t forget what happened in Smyrna” – Threatens to ‘take back’ Greek islands

"The occupied islands of Greece do not bind us, when the time comes we will do whatever it takes", he said

Newsroom September 3 04:19

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has surpassed himself with the new provocative statements against Greece as he referred to “occupied Greek islands” and did not hesitate to unleash threats once again.

Speaking on the sidelines of the technological event “TEKNOFEST”, Erdogan proceeded with yet another incredible rant against Greece.

Unleashing direct threats, the Turkish president directly disputed Greek sovereignty over the Aegean islands and asserted that Ankara is ready to do whatever was necessary when the time comes, again making references to the Asia Minor Disaster and 1922.

“Greeks, look at history, turn back in history, if you go too far, the price will be heavy. We only have one conversation about Greece, don’t forget Smyrna”, said the Turkish president.

As reported by the Anadolu Agency, Erdogan asserted that “The occupied islands of Greece do not bind us. When the time comes, we will do whatever it takes.”
