The Turkish Air Force violated the Greek national airspace 51 times on Monday. The 47 violations were carried out by a Turkish drone and two CN-235 spy planes.
The remaining four were carried out by a pair of Turkish F-16 fighters that flew over the archipelago. Both Turkish fighters were armed.
The Turkish aircraft moved in the North-East, Central, and South-East Aegean and as reported by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, 5 infringements of air traffic rules were recorded in the Athens FIR.
The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, as is standard practice.
