8 students arrested for gang rape of a classmate in Attica

Police found drugs and weapons after their search

Newsroom December 23 11:41

Eight teenagers were arrested on Wednesday morning in Attica after they reportedly raped a school classmate for a whole month. Their details have not been identified, and a case file was filed – on a separate basis – with charges of gang rape, as well as circulation of pornographic material of minors, and violation of the laws on drugs and guns.

The group of 8, for a whole month, abused and raped their classmate and in fact, filmed the brutality and trafficked it to third parties over the internet. The case is considered serious by the officers of the Athens Security Sub -Directorate. The perpetrators were all a group, students of the 1st Lyceum, at a school in Ilion.

As it emerged from the investigation, they committed the acts at least from the beginning of November 2022 until the beginning of December 2022.

The rapes were carried out in an abandoned house in the neighbourhood where the students lived, using objects (specifically a broomstick), and the perpetrators also brutally bullied the victim to silence him. The child experienced incredible torture and at some point, he “broke” and spoke to his family.

Mitsotakis: “Farmers will receive every euro they are entitled to — Solutions come through dialogue, not roadblocks”

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured farmers that all payments owed to them will be delivered in full, emphasizing that while agricultural workers have every right to demand more support, “extreme forms of protest, such as roadblocks, may exert pressure but ultimately disrupt daily life and do not help us move forward faster”
