The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, launched a new attack against Greece during a speech at the Islamic World Constitutional Justice Conference, where he blasted the Evros fence, calling it a “fascist” measure.
As the Turkish president said, “instead of finding a solution to the crisis, they locked the immigrants behind barbed wire fences. We watch in disgust as those who do not consider the oppressed outside their borders display the most primitive reflexes of fascism when it comes to their own safety and well-being… The product of the morbid perception towards Muslims and the negative effects of the waves of hate continues today by our side”.
Then Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Greece of “barbaric treatment of refugees”. The Turkish president described the camps on the Eastern Aegean islands as “concentration camps”.
