Shocking – 20-year-old footballer from Karditsa suddenly dies after collapsing on the pitch

Doctors were unable to revive him after he was transported to the hospital

A 20-year-old football player from Karditsa, central Greece who plays for a local team was rushed to the Karditsa hospital when he collapsed on the football pitch on Sunday noon.

According to the report of karditsalive.net, the incident occurred in the first half (started at 12.00) in the village of Mavrommati with the young footballer suddenly collapsing without any contact with another footballer.

The bystanders immediately provided him with first aid to revive him, while an ambulance was called to the scene and initially transported him to the hospital Mouzakiou before it was decided to take him to the Karditsa hospital, where the doctors, despite their efforts, were unable to keep him alive.
